Not every vacation that involves family travel is fun or cheap nor does it go as planned. We have put together a few itineraries that have worked for us. I can say without a doubt that we have had a wonderful time on all of them. We have had GREAT family vacations, good vacations and interesting vacations. Never have we had a bad vacation. Learn from years of our triumphs and mistakes. With the price of fuel these days, road trips have become pricey. Family travel needs to be creative. Here are just a few road trip itineraries that worked for us.
New York and the East Coast
A 17 day fly drive vacation that really worked. This is a trip that can be modified to fit anyones needs
Visit New York, DC, Jamestown, Niagara Falls and much more!
Grand Canyon and Indian Ruins
Venture through the Walnut Creek Indian Ruins, Montezuma's Castle and the Grand Canyon. On this trip you can also visit scenic town of Sedona and Church Rock.
Big Sur
A fantastic cheap 4-9 day vacation. The only real expense is your fuel and lodging or campsites. Just bring some food from home and go.
If you live in California and have children in the 4th grade this is the trip for you.
