Campground Etiquette

The great outdoors, is a fantastic place for a cheap family vacation. Beautiful surroundings, Fresh air and outdoor cook’n what could be better. But when the group in the next campsite is loud, unruly and keeps cutting through your campsite to get to the bathrooms you can’t relax or enjoy life.

This should never happen! But it does from time to time.

When camping in a commercial campground like a KOA, State or National Parks, be considerate and have manners. Follow a few simple rules of etiquette

1. Never walk through someone else’s campsite. It’s like walking through a persons living room.

2. Don’t drape ropes from tree to tree to dry your towels, swimsuits or laundry.

3. Be sure to park your car entirely in your campsite.

4. Campsites have no walls, speak only loud enough to be heard in your campsite not 2 or 3 campsites away.

Remember “Leave No Trace” that you were there, and take only pictures
