The Coast Highway and Big Sur, and Santa Cruz

This is a great Vacation for families in California with children in the 3rd , 4th , or 5th grades.

This itinerary has lots leisure time. The scenic areas of Big Sur and Monterey are spectacular. this is by far not drive, drive, drive trip. If you have only 1 week this trip can easily be accomplished by picking up the pace a little. Whether you start in Northern, Central or Southern California it is a fun vacation for the family.

With Monterey being the first capital of California, and the numerous missions along this trip your child has the opportunity to get a head start on the California 4th grade curriculum or it will bring to life what was taught in the past.
